JiYeon and her mom made us a great meal with dduk guk, the traditional rice cake soup for new years, and lots of other good stuff, for lunar new year. Yum!
I like this picture. I think it's the low table and pillows. Does this kind of arrangement make for a more intimate dining experience than a typical "western" setup? -Kristin
i don't know if it's necessarily more intimate. maybe it is, but it gets a little uncomfortable after a while, unless you have a wall to lean up against. i think i'm more flexible than i used to be from sitting cross-legged more, though! a lot of people have western style dining too, but still choose to sit on the floor a lot of the time anyhow.
